Wine Farms on Tap

Constantia is the oldest wine growing region in South Africa and is bordered on both sides by Table Mountain nature reserve. There are 8 award-winning vineyards including Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwagting, High Constantia, Beau Constantia, Eagles Nest, Steenberg and Constantia Glen. Each winery offers tastings and a selection of some of the finest wines.

Activities

Constantia is the southern gateway to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens and there are many walks of varying levels in and around the area, showcasing the beauty of Constantia valley. It offers seven 18-hole golf courses which people come from around the world to play.

Constantia houses some of South Africa’s best restaurants. There are further details below, but a few worth mentioning are;  the Greenhouse at the Hohenort Hotel, La Colombe, Alphen 5 rooms and Rose bar, Buitenverwagting as well as Peddlars & Co. Easy Access to Cape Town’s Highlights

Constantia sits nestled against the Constantia Mountains and is central to Cape Town’s main tourist attractions. Within 15 minutes you are able to get to a wide range of beautiful blue status beaches on both coasts, Clifton, Camps Bay as well as Muizenberg and Noordhoek.  Table Mountain, the V&A waterfront and Cape Town’s museums are all a quick 15 minute drive.
